The vision behind L'Ecole Internationale Franco-Anglaise (EIFA) was to bring a truly bilingual school to London. A school where a combination of high quality, imaginative and engaging teaching gives students the priceless gift of two mother tongues.
With Little EIFA for the infants, a Junior School and the Senior School. EIFA is the only French-English bilingual school in the UK catering for students from 18 months to 18 years old, offering them the continuity of environment that develops the basis for a lifelong multilingual ability.
In our increasing globalised world, opportunities can arise in many different countries. EIFA gives children from all backgrounds the critical, creative and language skills needed to take these opportunities wherever in the world they arise.
EIFA is a candidate school* for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme, with the intention to offer it in French and English. It will be the first school in the UK to teach the IB Diploma Programme in both languages. This ensures that our students' qualifications will be accepted by institutions in whatever part of the world your children's talents and ambitions take them.
The concept at the core of the EIFA approach is quality. High quality staff, teaching high quality lessons in a high quality environment. Children are naturally inquisitive and open minded. The EIFA philosophy is to develop this natural curiosity by teaching children the skills to think critically about the world around them. The result is children who are happy, open minded and inquisitive, giving them the skills they need to become true citizens of world waiting for them.
* Only schools authorised by the International Baccalaureate can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme or the IB Career-related Certificate (IBCC). Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted. For further information about the IB and its programmes, visit www.ibo.org
